ACCORDANTCARE BECOMES ALERE

CAREMARK NEWSLETTERS

Below you will find a link to Caremark's newsletter, CareLetter, and several supplements that look at common health concerns.

FIRST CHOICE HEALTH PREFERRED PROVIDER NETWORK

MUST has changed Third Party Administrators effective June 1, 2010.  All members are, therefore, advised to check First Choice Health's online provider search to make sure their local providers are in-network. Most Montana doctors are, but it is important to check.  Members whose providers are not listed can contact First Choice Health so a specialist can try to negotiate a contract with the provider.  For providers nationwide, members can check here.

The advantage of using in-network providers is that they accept discounted rates for their services and will not bill MUST members for any amounts that exceed negotiated rates. (But please keep in mind that members are always responsible for meeting plan deductibles and co-payment amounts.)

ABOUT MUST

Montana Unified School Trust (MUST) is committed to serving schools and school-related entities in Montana. This commitment has enabled MUST to gain the distinction of being the leading educational health-benefit provider in Montana, insuring more than 120 public school districts and groups.

MUST’s goal is to provide the best benefit plans available, the finest service in the industry, the most cost-effective management, leading-edge wellness services, and a solid financial base.  By pooling approximately 4,000 school employees and 9,000 total covered lives, MUST has the ability to lessen claim and rate volatility and to control costs by spreading risk over a large population base.  MUST prides itself on providing hands-on attention and personal service to its members and their families.

2009 – 2010 MUST Board of Trustees

Appointed representatives from MSSF’s three sponsor organizations (MEA-MFT, SAM, and MTSBA) serve as trustees for the Montana Unified School Trust.  The nine trustees provide policy direction for the health benefits plan offered by MUST. Decisions of the board are required to make amendments to the plan or its policies. The trustees also authorize the contractual relationships with the providers of the program’s specialized needs such as underwriting, actuarial services, legal and claims services.
